🔐 ACCV Certificate Request Guide

1. Identification on the ACCV Website Using Your Phone​

Requirements:​

  • 📱 Spanish phone number (starts with +34)
  • 📄 TIE document
  • 💡 Good lighting and a plain background
  • ☕ 5–10 minutes of free time

Steps:​

  1. Go to the video identification page:
    👉 https://genera.accv.es/videocert/

  2. Complete the forms:

    • Enter your NIE number, then click Continuar, Nueva Solicitud, Continuar
    • Enter your first name (Nombre) and surname (Primer Apellido) exactly as shown on the TIE, select the province and city, then click Validar
    • On the next page, check all three agreement boxes and click Continuar
    • Enter your Spanish phone number (9 digits) — you will receive an SMS code
    • Enter the SMS code when it arrives
    • Enter your email address — you will receive an email
    • Open the email on your phone and click the Continuar link

  3. Allow camera access and follow the instructions shown on the screen.
    The process is automatic and includes voice instructions in Spanish.

After the verification, you will receive:

  • ✉️ an email confirmation;
  • 📲 an SMS with the certificate generation code.

2. Certificate Generation​

  1. Open the link from the ACCV email.
  2. Enter the SMS code (uppercase and lowercase letters matter).
  3. Click “Generar certificado”.
  4. The system will ask you to create a PIN — this is your personal password required for certificate installation.
    • This PIN is only used during installation, write it down.
  5. After generation, click “Descargar certificado” — the certificate will be downloaded as a .p12 or .pfx file.

3. Certificate Installation​

For Mac​

  1. Locate the downloaded file (for example, certificado.p12).

  2. Double-click it — the Keychain Access application will open.

  3. The system will first ask for your macOS user password — this is a standard confirmation for keychain access.

  4. Then a window titled “Introduzca la contraseña” will appear — enter the PIN you created during certificate generation.

  5. The certificate will be added to your personal certificates.

  6. Verify the installation:

  • Open Safari → Preferences → Privacy → Certificates
  • Make sure your certificate appears in the list.

For Windows​

  1. Locate the downloaded file (for example, certificado.pfx).
  2. Double-click it — the Certificate Import Wizard will start.
  3. Select:
  • Current user
  • Click Next.
  1. Enter the password (PIN) you created during certificate generation.
  2. Select:
  • Place all certificates in the following store
  • Click Browse → select Personal → OK.
  1. Complete the installation by clicking Finish.
  2. You should see the message “The import was successful” — the certificate is installed.

4. Completion​

Your ACCV digital certificate is now installed and ready to use.

It allows you to:

  • Access Spanish government services (AEAT, Seguridad Social, etc.);
  • Use electronic signatures in browsers (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox);
  • Sign PDF documents and other file formats electronically.

The certificate is valid for 3 years.
